Mental health can’t wait.

Our Origin Story

AsyncHealth began with a simple but powerful moment in 2008: a traveling couple sent a video of the wife—struggling with depression—to her psychiatrist, Dr. Peter Yellowlees. Using the video, Dr. Yellowlees adjusted her treatment remotely, leading to a successful recovery.

That moment sparked a 12-year journey of clinical research into asynchronous video care. Dr. Yellowlees launched multiple studies, with the backing of $7M in grants, leading to 19 peer-reviewed research publications.

The result? A breakthrough platform that brings AI-powered mental health care to the world.

Our Vision

We believe that the capacity to provide mental health care is currently available and the opportunity exists to redesign mental health care systems through AI-driven semi-automation using Agents and Scribes so that excellent accessible mental health care for all diverse groups of patients becomes the norm.

Our Mission

We believe the capacity to deliver excellent mental health care already exists. Our mission is to unlock that potential by automating the most time-consuming parts of care and reduce clinician burnout—so clinicians can focus on what matters most: their patients.

AsyncHealth is building a future where accessible, high-quality mental health care is the norm, not the exception.
